Claire Avenido is a licensed interior designer based in Metro Manila, Philippines, practicing since 2015 on projects across the country and beyond. She began her career under a leading Philippine design firm, gaining deep experience in residential, corporate, and commercial interiors before expanding internationally—first in Singapore, where she refined her eye for furniture and styling, and later with a New York–based e-design company, designing remotely for clients around the world.
Her design philosophy was further shaped in Florence, Italy, where she earned her master’s in interior design and developed a convictiondesign’s quiet yet profound ability to influence how people feel at ease in their everyday lives. Often inspired by moments of warmth and soul found in different places across the globe, Claire translates these experiences into interiors that feel grounded, meaningful, and deeply personal.
Currently, she works on local interior design and design-and-build projects while collaborating globally with designers and clients. Guided by a belief that collaboration nurtures growth and that every space should reflect its purpose and identity, Claire continues to create environments that balance beauty, purpose, and human connection.
The Design Process
Preliminary Phase
Every project begins with connection—getting to know the client, the space, and the people who will inhabit it. This phase is about listening and observing, understanding not only the functional needs but also the spirit and purpose that will define the project’s identity.

Schematic Design
From understanding comes translation. In this stage, the project’s essence begins to take form through concepts, preliminary layouts, perspectives, and finish explorations. It’s where ideas and intentions merge, setting the tone and direction for the vision ahead.

Design Development
Design, at its heart, is a process of refinement. Each iteration brings the project closer to its true self—where feedback, collaboration, and clarity help shape an outcome that feels both authentic and aligned with purpose. This stage ensures that every detail resonates with the story we want the space to tell.

Documentation and Coordination
With the vision defined, it’s time to turn it into something tangible. The design is translated into technical drawings, details, and material specifications, while continuous coordination with contractors and suppliers ensures that every element aligns with the original intent.

Execution
This is where imagination becomes reality. The process unfolds hand in hand with the client, ensuring that each decision and detail honors the vision. It’s the culmination of collaboration, care, and craft—the moment the design truly comes to life.
